Angel Li was born in China and migrated to Singapore at a young age. She migrated to Australia to pursue her law degree in 2008 and graduated with a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Finance from the Australian National University, and completed a Master of Laws (majoring in commercial litigation) from the College of Law.
Angel was admitted as a lawyer in the Australian Capital Territory and the High Court of Australia in 2013. After being admitted, Angel undertook work at the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal and ACT Supreme Court, and subsequently worked as an associate to The Honourable Magistrate Boss at the ACT Magistrates Court. It was through those experience that Angel developed a passion for litigation work.
Angel is presently a Senior Associate at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers practicing in insurance litigation, specialising in: public liability, medical negligence, workers compensation, catastrophic injuries, compulsory third party insurance and recovery claims.
Angel is passionate about cultural diversity in workplaces and access to justice, and hopes to promote this in the legal community through her participation in the AALA.
