NT Branch Committee Member

Hari is originally from Sydney, completed her Arts/Law degree at Australian National University in 2017, and moved to Darwin in early 2018.

Hari started her career as a judge's associate to the Hon. Justice Jenny Blokland, then moved into practising criminal law at the Northern Australia Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA). In late 2019, Hari moved into Community Legal Education at NAAJA, and continues to work there.

Hari is of Indian descent, and this is an important and central part of her identity. Hari believes that greater diversity in the legal profession leads to significantly better outcomes for everyone involved and Asian Australians do bring different perspectives to the table.

Into the future, Hari would like to continue working for community legal centres in both criminal and civil law roles.
