For the past four years, Mya has worked as a senior lawyer with the Commonwealth Government on litigation and commercial matters. On her weekends, she volunteers with the ACT State Emergency Service. She was admitted to the Victoria Supreme Court in 2015 and has Masters of Law in International Law from the Australian National University. She has worked in legal roles in the private sector both here and in Paris in addition to working as an Associate in the Administration Appeals Tribunal. She is passionate about supporting and developing all members of the legal profession.

Mya is keen to promote diversity in the legal field and looks forward to promoting the work and objectives of the AALA in Canberra, in particular increasing the capability of lawyers by facilitating further education.
