CHENG VUONG
Cheng joined the AALA Victorian Branch Committee in 2026, and has been an AALA member since 2015.
Cheng brings prior experience serving on professional association committees, having been a member of the LIV Young Lawyers Social Committee (2020) and Law Reform Committee (2020 – 2021); and the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) Victoria Young IPAA Committee (2018 – 2022), including almost three years as a Deputy Chair (2020 – 2022). He looks forward to applying his experience to contribute to initiatives benefiting the AALA membership base.
Professionally, Cheng currently works as a Law and Policy Manager at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). He has worked at the ATO for almost 10 years across its lodgment compliance, objections, and law and policy business lines. He was admitted to practice in Victoria in 2015 and is registered as a Trade Marks Attorney.
