NSW Branch Committee Past President

DORA CHEUNG

Dora is a co-Vice President of the NSW Branch. She has a strong passion for service and community, with a variety of private and public sector experience. Dora works for a specialist unit in the Family Law Division, Legal Aid NSW, primarily advocating in family law matters and child protection, in various levels of court statewide and nationally. Dora is the inaugural winner of the Duty Solicitor of the Year awarded at the annual Legal Aid NSW Family Law Conference 2024 for her dedication and commitment to urgent complex duty court work, representing the most marginalised communities.

As the immediate past President and current Co-Vice President AALA NSW, Dora has dedicated her time as a prior National Convenor of the AALA National Mentoring Program contributing, planning and coordinating the 2022 and 2023 National Mentoring Program nation-wide in every state, and hosting the NSW launch events at Herbert Smith Freehills, the College of Law Sydney and King & Wood Mallesons.
