Eugenie has over 12 years of legal experience in a wide range of work in commercial litigation and public interest law. She was admitted as a lawyer in New York, Hong Kong, and Victoria, Australia and also obtained the ARITA Advanced Certification in Insolvency. Other than completing a judicial associateship at the Supreme Court of Victoria, Eugenie mostly worked for international law firms and reputable litigation law firms in the first decade of her legal career. She instructed and appeared in state and federal courts for directions hearings and interlocutory applications. She has advised and acted for a wide range of clients from individuals to model litigants while she was in private practice. She is now an in-house lawyer and enjoys a mix of contentious and advisory work.
Eugenie is passionate about advocating for diversity & inclusion. She served as Vice President for nearly two years at the Victorian Branch of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association and has previously been a co-chair of the Women in the Public Sector committee of Victorian Women Lawyers and a subcommittee member of the Women in Insolvency and Restructuring Victoria. Eugenie strives to foster a great community that celebrates cultural diversity, promotes Asian Australian lawyers and professionals, and collaborates with diversity allies.
