FELICIA CHAN

Felicia Chan is currently Legal Counsel at INPEX Australia with broad experience across energy and resources transactions, LNG SPAs, LNG marketing, shipping, joint venture arrangements, corporate advisory, major projects, infrastructure and property matters. She plays a key role in supporting complex transactions and strategic commercial initiatives at Japan's largest oil & gas Exploration & Production company. Prior to going in-house Felicia worked at top-tier law firms Ashurst and Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Felicia stands as an advocate for transformative change within the legal profession, channelling her passion towards fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment. Her commitment to addressing issues such as cultural diversity, gender equality, intersectionality, and dismantling unconscious bias has not only set her apart but has also earned her recognition and accolades within the legal community. Felicia was named the 2024 Junior Woman Lawyer of the Year by the Women Lawyers of Western Australia and 2023 Emerging Lawyer of the Year by the Law Society of Western Australia.

Felicia has been actively involved with AALA since the start of her legal career. She became a member in 2020, served as a General Committee Member of the WA Branch in 2021, and was the WA Branch Events Chair from 2021 to 2023.

As a member of the AALA National Executive Committee, Felicia brings both professional expertise and a considered voice on issues of equity and inclusion, helping to support and shape the future of Asian Australian legal professionals.
