MACKY MACKAR

Macky Markar is a lawyer that predominantly practices in the Moulis Legal international trade remedy and commercial law teams.

Having been at Moulis Legal for over five years, Macky started his Moulis Legal career as a paralegal before progressively advancing to his current Associate role. Over that time Macky has worked across Moulis Legal practice areas, such as property and foreign investment, and has assisted a broad array of international and domestic issues.

Macky has extensive experience working within the Australian anti-dumping framework, which includes close and comprehensive involvement in the detailed onsite verification work, injury analysis, and financial interrogation that accompanies government investigations of cross-border commerce. His strong interest in international issues stems from his extensive experience travelling, and living in multiple countries – including China and Sri Lanka. These experiences provide a unique outlook on cross border matters.He also has a strong interest in issues of social and cultural diversity in the legal profession, and the broader community.

Macky has completed a Masters of Laws in International Law at the Australian National University, and is a graduate of the University of Queensland, where he completed a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance.
