AALA WA BRANCH

ABOUT THE WA BRANCH

The members of the WA Branch are an innovative and dynamic team working within a supportive legal community to promote and facilitate cultural diversity at all levels of the legal profession. We also aim to bring together members of the legal profession of Asian heritage and cultural background as well as others with an interest in Asia and Asian legal markets.

We have members from all walks of legal life - including students, lawyers, principals from small, medium and large firms, barristers, in-house and government lawyers.

We believe in sharing experiences and stories as well as embracing different identities. We’re all about making connections and building that all important support network.

All are welcome to join our committee and to share our educational, networking and social events!

The Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA) offers our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the true and traditional owners and custodians of the lands we gather on to live, work and learn.

AALA acknowledges the past and continuing trauma caused by mistreatment and displacement. AALA celebrates and shares in the respect for elders, land and community and continues to advocate for intersectional diversity and the empowerment of all first nations peoples worldwide.
